Here is where you really learn the difference between the black tea from a tea bag and the magnificent single origin teas from China, Sri Lanka, Africa and India. We may even have our Hawaiian, Japanese or Taiwanese Black as a special bonus! We’ll explore how black tea is made and the history of black tea …could it have been discovered by a mistake?
We’ll discuss and maybe try different flushes of the same tea and talk about the significance of the timing of the various flushes. We will learn how Terroir (love that wine term) impacts tea flavor and complexity. We generally taste eight to ten different black teas in this class crossing the spectrums of taste.
Class cost: $20 per person Class Length: 1 ½ -2 hours
