Description
Description
Bi Luo Chun 2.5 oz (71 grams) is a delightful spring tea and holds its place on the listing of the 10 Famous Teas of China. It is grown and produced in Jiangsu, China. Our Bi Luo Chun is authentic Dong Ting Lake Bi Luo Chun. You will receive the same great tea that has been produced in Su Zhou for generations. You will find the aroma and taste of this tea as sweet, fragrant, and delicate. Bi Luo Chun is typically picked between March 20 and the Chinese Qingming Festival (tomb sweeping day – April 4). This makes it one of China’s annual spring picking’s earliest green teas, using the tiniest, most delicate growth shoots of the tea bush. Watch for the “down” floating on the surface of the tea broth to verify the quality of this fine artisan tea. The translation of Bi Luo Chun is “Jade Spring Snail” in reference to the tiny curled green leaves.
Taste and Preparation
Western style:
Eastern style: First pour 1 cup of water at a temperature around 175°F over 5g of tea leaves. Let infuse for 2 minutes for a first delicious infusion. After that, a second infusion of shortened brewing (1 minute) produces a similarly exquisite taste result. While a third infusion, now at 195°F and again with 2 minutes, is still a must in terms of taste, even more infusions are possible with extended infusion periods.
