Description
Singlo – Colonial Collection – Green Tea
Singlo originated in the Singlo (Sung-lo) Mountains of Anhui Province. It was a superior grade of tea that the East India Company needed to move out of its London warehouses before it spoiled during the colonial uprisings in America. Unfortunately, the colonists never tasted Singlo as 60 half-chests were thrown into the Boston Harbor on December 16, 1773.
You will find Singlo to be a mild yet full-bodied tea with a slightly sweet green tea flavor, similar to many early-spring high-mountain teas, even though it is not necessarily an early-spring tea.
For another great-value green tea with a bit more of a smoky character, try our Gunpowder Tea!

Sherry –
I tried this tea at the Tea-for-All stand at the Burlington County NJ Farmers Market. It is a very good basic green tea. Not to bitter. Great for any time of the day.
